Initially, a fellowship of Native Crow and non-Native
believers met together at Yellowtail, MT under the ministry
banner of Day Chief Ministries, Inc. for seven years. In March
of 2004, the nuclear group of this fellowship agreed to be the
board of a new work called the Red Earth Church in the Wilderness.
The heart call of this ministry is the immersion of the believer
into the Spirit of the Kingdom of God to shift the believer
from being just a believer to the higher position of a being
a believing disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. As a believing
disciple of Jesus, the believer can now more effectively become
like his literal Teacher, the Lord Jesus, and like his Teacher,
do the works Jesus said he could do (John 14:12). Red Earth
Church’s statement of faith is summarized as follows:
We accept the Bible, in its entirety, as the written Word
of God. There is one God: infinite, eternal, almighty, and
perfect in holiness, life, light and love. In the unity of
the Godhead there are three persons, Father, Son and Holy
Spirit. God the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth
who made man in His own image, to fellowship with Him and
have dominion over His earth and everything upon it, over
it and in the seas. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of
God, is the eternal Word made flesh, supernaturally conceived
by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He is the only
Savior for the sins of the world, having shed His Blood and
died on Calvary's Cross. By His death in our place, He revealed
the divine love and upheld divine justice, removing our guilt
and reconciling us to God. Having redeemed us from sin, the
third day He rose bodily from the grave by the breath of the
Father, victorious over death and the powers of darkness.
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness and
judgment and, through the proclamation of the gospel, He persuades
men to repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord.
Man’s response to the gospel is rooted and grounded
in the free and unconditional love of God. Salvation, the
free gift of God, is provided by grace alone, through faith
alone, because of Christ alone, for the glory of God alone.
The Church is not a religious institution or denomination,
but rather, it is made up of those who have become genuine
disciples of Jesus Christ and exists to faithfully express
the Kingdom of God on the Earth, and to advance the Victory
of Jesus Christ to the uttermost parts of the earth. The ultimate
mission of the Church is equipping disciples to become functional
worship-warrior sons of God through the preaching and teaching
of the gospel. In the context of the local church, God's people
have an opportunity to employ their God-given gifts in His
service in relation to one another and to the world. In obedience
to Christ's command and as a testimony to God and the world,
a believer should be immersed in water in the name of the
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Water baptism is a visual demonstration
of a person's spiritual union with Christ in the likeness
of his death and resurrection.
The specific mission of Red Earth Church in the Wilderness
is:
Provoke and shift every believer to being believing disciples
of Jesus to reach new levels of growth and maturity through
the increasing openness of the spiritual heart and spiritual
will to God, our Heavenly Father;
To promote true corporate “community of unity”
living in the newness of spiritual, supernatural life through
the avenue of the real Gospel of the Kingdom of God;
In practical ways, help disciples understand how to co-labor
with the Word, Spirit and Blood of Christ to effect change
and personal transformation within their own personality,
and then carry the authority gained to effect change in their
families;
Connect disciples in righteous alignment of authorities to
affect transformation of the spiritual landscape whether it
is their neighborhood, city or region; to help disciples understand
Biblical strategies for spiritual warfare to include recognizing
and understanding how evil is anchored in the spiritual landscape
through ancient defilements;
To train believing disciples of King Jesus on how to break
the power-grid of iniquitous religious structures, and deliver
the landscape from evil’s hold through the exercise
of a believer’s dominion authority in accordance with
Romans 8:21: . . .that the creation itself also shall be delivered
from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory
of the children of God.” ASV |
